Me language and You language

Kiva Activities - Week 1

Me language and You language

In communication it is often better to use ME language, especially if you are facing difficult situations. In ME language you say “I feel that I am not being heard” instead of “you are always like that, you never listen”.

You
You never listen to me
You’re unkind when you don’t let me join in.
You’re so slow, come on so that we’ll make it in time
You’re always late and now we are going to miss the movie
You always tell me what to do
You always bully me.
Why do you get to get a phone
You are a cry baby
You always get o go to Hornby high school.

Me
I feel like you are not listening to me
You are unkind because you won’t let me join in.
Come on run faster so that we’ll make it in time.
Why are you always late because now we are going to miss the movies.
You always boss me around.
Stop bullying me.
Why do always get phones.
Why do you cry all the time.
I never get to go to Hornby high school.
