The Power of One - Hang him up scene: SEXXXY PARAGRAPH
S - A symbolise shot and lighting was used effectively in the hang him up scene.
E - For an example, symbolism was showen when Pk was passing through the room and we can all see that on each bed, had a Nazi flag or symbol on them, which clearly explains us that the school represent the Nazi. The lighting was effectively used, when the police officer opened the door. There was a dark lighting of the cop, and a bright light outline of the cop which made him look like a ghost, and this lighting makes us feel alarmed or mysterious.
X - The symbolism in this scene, understandably shows us that the characters in the scene represent the Nazi. The lighting of the police officer gives us a clue that they are evil, powerful and scary.
X - The director added in the symbols to give us a sign that the school is German and the school represents the German army - The Nazi.
X - This worked well with the symbolism that is shown in some part of the scene because it illustrates the movie and proves that the movie will definitely be about the whites and the blacks.
Y - This scene reminds me of the amount of the Wars Germany went into. This scene also compares how the police officers use to treat people back then.
Hi Aisa
ReplyDeleteI really liked the vocabulary you used in your writing. For example, the words 'evil, powerful and scary' as well as 'alarmed and mysterious' are great. Next time, can I suggest you focus on just one film aspect at a time, until you get to the combination of aspects part. Great understanding of how film aspects show meaning, though :)
Kia Ora Mr! Thank you for your positive and helpful feedback. Next time I will do that and I will work a bit more on writing just one aspect.
