Malo Lei lei my name is Aisa and I have been learning and researching about South Africa.

South Africa is an awesome place to go visit. In South Africa there are humongous and clever animals. Some animals in South Africa are also trained, but there are some Animals that are dangerous, animals like, Lions, Crocodiles,  Wild dogs and Buffalo's. 

 Meaning of the South African Flag..

The only symbolism in the flag is the V or Y shape, which can be interpreted as "the convergence of diverse elements within South African society, taking the road ahead in unity". Three of the colors  black, green and yellow —are found in the flag of the African National Congress.

RESEARCH

With roots in 17^th century Dutch and influences from English, Malaysian, German,Portuguese, French and some African languages, Afrikaans was the third most widely spoken home language in South Africa as of the 2011 census. It was originally known as Cape Dutch, with proper Dutch being the formal written language.

Hello my name is Aisa and in term 2 I have learned how to creat a unique and strong password.

Also this year I have been doing cyber smart on Mondays. Secondly my favourite thing in Cybersmart this year was doing blogpost and solving problems. Thirdly, this year  what I didn't enjoy about Cybersmart was going into other website I didn't know because I had to search the whole website name to get on the website. 

Fourthy, my teachers name is Miss Morgan. This year Miss Morgan has done well with her teaching, because if it wasn't for her teaching others about Cybersmart others would now be bullying each other's and calling other people's name. Miss has also thought me to notand also not give strangers your password to anything or code to anything.

What my teacher could do better next time she teaches me, she could teach more about technology and also teach more about other important stuff about life.

100 words challenge.

One day there was a huge forest that I wanted to go to. The forest was called Abandon territory. The real name of the forest is called the Ghost Forest.

The forest was filled with alot of ghosts that used to be alive. It was 1919 and a huge earthquake happened also a mega tsunami happen. The forest was teared apart from the earthquake and most of the trees were taken down by the tsunami.

16 years later I went to the forest and saw a bike that was placed on a tree. I went near it and got token from some creature. A few days later I was dead...

Monday Stone carving pt 2

Good afternoon my name is Aisa and today I have been stone carving with others. Today I have learn't that if I get the chisel and the hammer and hit the hammer on the chisel very hard on my stone, my whole stone would brake apart. Today I have also learn't that fielding the sharp corners of my stone, the sharp edges and corners would be flat and the corners would be rounded.

The tools I used this afternoon were, a saw, a chisel, a hammer and a brush.

 How I was able  to create  this stone is that I used all the tools that i used. What helped me the most was that, me using a pencil helped me cut the position of the parts that I had to cut. What also helped me with my stone is my plan. My plan had all my ideas and the shape of the Manaia so that's how I know the shape of the Manaia.

My name is Aisa and this week I have been working on a different stone by myself. The stone is called a manaia. The meaning of a manaia is mental illness marked by periods of great excitement or euphoria, delusions, and overactivity. 

I thought of a plan, my plan was to make another Koru but then secondly I wanted to make something for my family. My other plan was to make a manaia. I wanted to make a manaia for my nana. The reason why I wanted to do this for my nana is that because it's a treat for my nana for all the things she done for me.

The tools I used this time was a cheese grater, hammer, a saw and a chisel.

Summer Learning Journey...

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening. My name is Aisa and I am 11 years old. I am from Samoa, but I was born and raised in New Zealand in Christchurch. My favourite thing to do is to listen to music, play games and do writing in my book at home. In Christchurch I go to Hornby High School and I'm a year 7 student and I will be committed to this awesome journey.

I would like to sign up for the summer learning journey because I would like to win prizes for others. I would also like to do it to win myself a chrome book because at school I would like to use chrome books because they are better to do work in it than iPads. For the summer learning journey I would also be committed to win prizes.

Secondly my opinion is that I think that I would be able to win prizes because I am really good at blogging.

Passion Projects.

Last Thursday I worked on a little stone by myself. The stone I made was a Koru. The tools I used was a, cheese grater, hammer, Cheesals, saws and brushes to clean my and others stone.

This week I have been working with some friends, Lasa and Sharnix on our passion project. For passion project we are doing Stone carving. Secondly we have made a plan to make a big project. For our plan, we have to create a design that represents something.

The invention was initially created as a walking machine and then was tweaked in 1932 days to become amphibious. But neither of these are its main purpose now. What is the invention.

Probability

This week my class has been learning probability for maths. I have learned how to solve equations by doing this....

5+5=? . 6+4=10 7+3=10 and 8+2=10. There are many ways to solve other equation. Well I was learning about probability I felt nervous to answer questions, but after I learned a whole lot of things about probability I started to learn and secondly, I started answering quit ons and solving problems.

The rain came..

One time I was on a boat with my family. Me and my family went to Sumner beach. Sumner beach is in Christchurch city. When we got to the beach, we jumped into a boat. Secondly we drove the boat out into the open sea. The time we went, the weather was sunny and the clouds were white. When we got to the middle of the sea, One of my family member said that we should stop here and go back. I asked my mum if i could swim where we stopped? My mother said yes.

I jumped into the water and started to swim. As i was swimming, Firstly birds were flying around in circles, then secondly the wind getting stronger and stronger, thirdly the clouds were closing. I could not see the sun, I also could not see white clouds, what i saw was dark grey clouds taking over the white clouds. I felt rain pouring on me.

As the wind was crashing at my face, the boat was getting blowin away from me. I lost my family, i was all alone. Secondly, as the wind was blowing, waves started to get bigger and bigger. I found a little land and went to it. When i got to the land, the land only had one palm tree, phone and a house. I quickly used the phone to get rescued from home.

I see helicopters coming, but I don’t  see the helicopters coming down to me. I tried to wave my hands at the helicopter for help. Secondly the rain got stronger and stronger. The helicopter drove past and didn’t see me.

Five days past and i hadn’t, eaten or drank anything. All five days it has been raining, lightning and windy, also hailing. At midnight i was going to give up my life, but as i was dying slowly i saw a light coming from south-west. I tried to look at what was coming but the light to bright. I seen that it was a police boat.

Police officers dragged me into their boat. They took me back to Sumner beach. Secondly I could see my mum and dad. When we got their  my mum and dad ran as fast as they could at me and hugged me. After we got home we had a big dinner then well we were eating they explained to me how they got back home from the storm.

Sea turtles

How the sea turtles grow into an adult..

The sea turtles are endangered species and need a lot of help. How the sea turtles are endangered is because, there are lots of people around the world littering and throwing plastic rubbish, and plastic rubbish can kill or effect the turtles. How plastic rubbish kills turtles is that, the turtle chews on the plastic bags then they choke to death.

Turtles hatch a lot of eggs. Females can lay over two times in a season. They lay over 100 eggs, eggs hatch in sand, Over 800 hatch, 400 make it to the sea, 200 make it to breeding age. The eggs were covered with sand so they are protected. When they hatch they crawl away to the sea. While they are in the sea the babies are eaten by a variety of prey.

Adult turtles are sea turtles that are in charge of all baby turtles. The adult turtles are mature. They have babies and hatch babies from eggs. Some adult turtles go out into the ocean then return. Adult turtles and normal turtles have been alive for 15 million years.

Sea turtles have been around since 150,000 years ago. Sea turtles have been surviving through when, humongous dinosaurs run past them and over them. The turtles have survived through all those animals that have been stepping over them and also running through them. They have also survived through the challenges of eons. Every adult sea turtle has now overcome the odds.

When baby turtles are alive, what they do is swim forwards, somehow they would would often look to settle in a patch of flotsam. For the next several months they would avoid people that would kill them.

How does black holes form???
Suns and stars that runs out of fuel that turns into red Stars/suns then explodes in peaces known as super novas super novas will start creating the black with in billions of years to make a black whole it is not finished until 500 million years. 

What are black holes???
A black hole is a place in space where gravity pulls so much that even light can not get out. The gravity is so strong because matter has been squeezed into a tiny space. This can happen when a star is dying. Because no light can get out, people can't see black holes. They are invisible. Space telescopes with special tools can help find black holes. The special tools can see how stars that are very close to black holes act differently than other stars.


How big are black holes??
Black holes come in many sizes and their size depends on how much material is in them . Some are the remains of a giant star which collapsed. A star has to be much more massive than our Sun to become a black hole. These types of black holes are only a few miles across. Black holes have also been discovered in the centers of some galaxies. These black holes are very large and contain the same amount of material as 100 million or more suns. These types of black holes are several million miles across.

Maori facts about EEl'S

1. Tongan species are important to Maori culture because eels are food for Maori people to eat. What Maori people do to the eel is that cut the guts out of the eel then the cook the eel and eat it.

2. Eels usually spend their lives in the ocean and in fresh water. The reason why the eels spend their lives in fresh water is because so that they can breath and thy can swim through, and the the reason why they live in the ocean is because the ocean is their home.

3. Maori people are relieved on eels for generations.

4. Eels can swim near Tonga and what they do is spawn then die to death.

5. Before the eels go out into the ocean they go to little rivers and what they see is glass eels. The reason why they see glassed eels is because that's where glass eels live, in rivers.

6. Eels can live for 60 years then after that they die then reborn.

7. Eels can get rolled up like a Maori stone.

8. Eels have a very complex lifestyle they live in sea water and fresh water.

9. Eels can release 1-20 eegs a day.

The league game

Last Saturday I had a rugby league game. The reason why I had a rugby league game is because it was for trials, for the Hornby panthers. I found that I will be playing at the Linwood park and in the Linwood Territory.

I was getting ready for my rugby league trilles against the Linwood Keas at Kyle Park in Hornby. Before the game started I had to warm up, I practiced getting my league moves and league plays.

The reef yelled out to both teams to go into the middle of the field and he started talking about the rules. After that the captains played paper scissors Rock. The captain of our team won so that means that the captain of my team gets to pick ethir we receive the ball or us kicking to them. The captain was thinking inside his brain, and finally chose something,what He chose for us was receiving the ball. The Linwood Kea’s kicked off to the undefeated team, the Hornby Panthers.

Our team moves were, China 1. China one is when the half runs with the ball outside and the person beside the ball runner runs behinds the ball runner then the half cuts him. Our 2nd play is china 2. China 2 is just like china one, but the half through a dummy at the inside person and passes the ball outside to the other person. Our 3rd play is a blocker, a blocker is when a loseforeward runs straight across the half and the half dummy's him and through the ball to a prop. Our 4th play is twenty two. Twenty two is when the half double cuts two in the inside. After that, the incredible couch called out to all child in the team to go to him.

We lined up as a team looking at the Humongous kids that were in the Linwood territory. The linwood keys kicked the ball and well the ball was in air, the half catches it and done a little pop to the prop that was running behind him. After that it was a blocker, then the next move was 22. After that we done a China 2 China 1. Secondly was prop shooting into the middle with the ball. Thirdly we done a kick chase. When we kicked the ball we were chasing our hardest but we kicked too far it made all of us tied. When I was tied I couldn't even breathe one air out of my mouth. The other team caught the ball and ran hard and straight. Well he was running and pumping his legs, he accidently fell over and knocked on the ball and handed the ball over. Secondly when he handed it over we were in green zone. Green zone means that we could have a chance of scoring a try or a goal. Well we were on green set we got the props to make yards. The props made lots of yards then the full back came along and scored us a amazing try. It was half time, both teams were puffing air out of their mouths. We all got called to go to our coaches. When we got to the coach we huddled up in a group and well we huddled up some of us were scrolling the water bottles. The coach was calling out the names that were going out at second half. As he was calling out the names blablablablabla and then it came to my possession and he changed me off and put a friend of mine, Lasa on. So after that I was crying in my head.

The second half started and our team kicked off. My team was chasing and chasing hard. They were showing their personal best at chasing. Secondly we tackled them 4 times after that 4 tackles it was last. 5th and last, that means the other team has to kick the ball to my team. When they kicked the ball they kicked it short so we were on green zone. After that green zone we scored our 6th try, but then secondly the linwood keaes came back with a come back. Through the game there were lots of try savers and scores. After that it was full time, with linwood keaes with the lead. Our team only 1 try above the other team.

After 2 days later, my mum had checked her Facebook and went on to the team page and saw that I had mad into the Hornby Panthers team, secondly  I was happy and excited for the next game.
