Adrenalin Forest

What we did at The Adrenalin Forest:

Today, we were able to complete our first EOTC Week activity which was The Adrenalin Forest. Before we were able to go out in the forest and have fun, we were given instructions and examples to use when out in the forest. Some of the  instructions we were given were...

  1. Every time, make sure your hooks are always hooked/clicked on to a rope so that if you fall or trip over, you will not injure yourself, because you would be just hanging in the air, and well your hanging in the air, you would have to climb yourself back up.
  2. When on the flying fox, do not put your hands in front of the wheel on the zip line, for your hand will get badly injured and jammed from the wheel.
  3. When taking off, make sure both your hooks are hooked onto the white line that is above your head.
  4. Make sure to wear good and strong gloves, but not use your bear hands, for you can get painful grazes and scars on your hands, especially when going down the flying fox.
  5. Make sure your outfit that you are wearing, is nice and loose, so that it doesn't fall off when in the air.
Some examples we were given...

  1. How to use the attach the hooks on to the rope.
  2. How to attach wheel on the zip line.
  3. How to unclip the hooks and wheel off the zip line and rope, after completing an obstacle.
  4. How to climb back up after falling.
  5. How to keep moving forward when stuck in the middle of the flying fox.
After we were given our instructions and examples on what to do and how to do them, we were also told the levels of how high the obstacles are.

In my opinion, Level 1 wasn't to high, Level 2 also wasn't to high, Level three and four were half of a huge tree, but both levels were kind of the same height, just level four was a bit higher than level three, and level 5 and 6 were the maximum height you were allowed to go, also known as the highest levels at Adrenalin Forest.

Me and 3 of my good friends of mine, decided to go and give level 3 ago. It was difficult getting through these scary obstacles, but we still were committed into it.

What I was challenged:
My 3 friends challenged me to go with them on level three, to conqueror my fears and see how strong I am with facing my fears.

What I was proud about myself:
One thing I was proud about myself today, was being strong and facing one of my deepest fears, which is heights. Before, I really did not like heights, I was always scared and worried about heights, but now that I have noticed that isn't to bad, I have now conquered my fears, which really did me and my friends proud today.
