How the hand moves:
Movements of the hand are mostly started by muscles in the forearm. Only the thin tendons of these muscles are found directly in the hand.
The extensor tendons used for stretching the hand run through the back of the hand to the tips of the fingers, and flexor, (bending) tendons run through the palms to the fingers.
How tendons work:
The muscle tendon structure inserts itself into bones. The tendon serves as connective tissue that connects muscle to bone.
Tendons work in conjunction with the muscle, forming a relationship that provides flexible and strong joint movement. Muscle contraction pulls a tendon, which then pulls the bone.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

- Lighting and colour-The background is dark, mixed with green and the lighting looks old, which makes the mood feel more scary.
- Dim, dark, green, faded, sets the mood/atmosphere that its old, abandoned, unappealing and run down. The graphics makes the movie look old.
Camera shots and angles:
- Close up
- Zoomed in
- High angle
- Low angle
- Horizontal angle
- Music-Happy, gentle, harmony, chanting, song sung by children, lyrics in made up language, make calm happy atmosphere, scary, speeding up, more volume, and more minor
- The graphics-Old, abandon.
- The settings-
- Sassy, moody, angry, Stubborn, bright colours-blue hear, yellow coat and boots.

Camera shots, Angles, and movements
Camera shots:
|
Camera angles:
|
Camera movement:
|
Close up:
A close up shot is a type of shot that is filmed close to the object or character, and also adds emotions to a scene. It tightly frames an actor's face, making their reaction the main focus in the frame.
|
High angle:
A high angle shot is a cinematic technique where the camera is faced, looking down on the subject from a high angle and the point of focus often gets ¨swallowed up¨. High angle shots can make the subject seem vulnerable or powerless when applied with the correct mood, setting and effect.
|
Establishing shot Movement:
An establishing shot is a long shot at the start of a scene, or sequence that shows things from a distance. Often an aerial shot, it is intended to help identify and orient the location or time for the scene and action that follow.
|
Long shot:
A long shot is a view of a scene that is shot from a considerable distance, so that people appear as distinct shapes. An extreme long shot, is a view from an even greater distance.
|
Low angle shot:
A low angle shot, is a shot from a camera angle positioned low on the vertical axis, anywhere below the eyeline. Sometimes, it is even directly below the subject's feet. The effect of the low angle shot is that it makes the subject look strong and powerful.
|
Tilt shot Movement:
A tilt shot is a shot that uses cinematographic technique called tilting in which the camera stays fixed but rotates up and down on a vertical plane. Tilting is similar to the motion of an individual raising or lowering their heads.
|
Medium shot:
A medium shot is a type of camera shot that is placed in between longshot and close up shots. This shot is a type of camera shot in film and television that shows the character from waist up. A medium shot is used to emphasize both the actor and their surroundings by giving them an equal presence on screen.
|
Medium angle:
A medium angle shot is captured at a medium distance from the subject. It is often used for dialogue heavy scenes, but also depicts body language and can reveal more of the setting. Oftentimes, it will frame multiple subjects as well as a portion of the background
|
Full shot Movement:
Full shot is another name for wide shot and long shot. It shows the subject fully, from head to toe.
|
Extreme wide shot:
In the extreme wide shot, the view is so far from the subject that she/he isn't even visible. The point of this shot is to show the subject's surroundings. The extreme wide shot is also often used as an establishing shot.¨
|
Over the shoulder:
In film or television, an over the shoulder shot is when the character is positioned behind one character and facing another, so the shoulder and back of the one character are facing the audience.
|
Pedestal Movement:
A pedestal shot means moving the camera vertically with respect to the subject. This is often referred to as ¨Pending¨ the camera up or down. Ïn reality, like most camera moves, the pedestal move is often a combination of moves.
|
Extreme close up:
The extreme close up, often known as, ¨XCU¨ gets right in and shows extreme detail. You would normally need a specific reason to get this close. It is too close to show general reactions or emotion, except in very dramatic scenes. A variation of this shot is a choker.
|
Point of view:
A point of view shot is a film angle that shows what a character is looking at in the first person. It is usually establishing by being positioned between a shot of a character looking at something, and a shot showing the characters reaction
|
Zoom movement:
Zooming is one camera that most people are probably familiar with. IT involves changing the focal length of the lens to make the subject appear closer or further away in the frame.

Black Saturday & the Mau movement
On 28 December 1929, at least 8 Samoans and one police officer were killed during what has become known as ¨Black Saturday¨. The exact details of the clash between New Zealand administration in Samoa and the mau movement a pacifist resistance movement advocating independence from New Zealand are contested.
The Mau Movement:
What happened on Black Saturday?:
The worst incident in New Zealand's relationship with Samoa occurred on Saturday 28 December 1929. It was triggered by a fracas that erupted during a Mau parade along Apia's waterfront to welcome home two members who had been exiled in New Zealand.
The Mau Movement:
The mau movement culminated on 28 December 1929 in the street of the capital of Apia, when the New Zealand police fired on a procession who were attempting to prevent the arrest of one of their members. The day became known as ¨Black Saturday¨. One New Zealand constable was clubbed to death by protesters.
Began in 191908 with the Mau a pele, a movement led by the orator chief Lauaki Namulau´ulu. The matai were dissatisfied with the German governor´s attempts to change the fa´a Samoa and centralise all authority in his hands.

Science, Electricity and the nature of matter
What is electricity?:
Electricity is the vision and pass of electric charge. Electricity is the things that make power exist. It is a form of energy which we use to power machines. When electrical charges are not moving, they are called ¨Static Electricity.¨
Secondly, Electricity is also a property of matter that results from the presence or movement of electric charge. Electricity is also responsible for many well known physical facts, such as, lighting, electric fields and electric currents, and is put to use in industrial use, such as electronics and electric power.
The nature of matter:
All matters are made up with Atoms, that consist of three types of smaller particles. Negatively charged electrons, but positively charged protized and neutral neutrons. Normally, the electrons and protised and an Atom balances out. Which is why most matter you come to prost is electrically neutral, but electrons are tiny and and almost insignificant in mass. And rubbing and friction can give lusley bad electrons, enough energy to leave their Atoms and attach to others.

Static electricity
|
Current electricity
| |
What is it caused by?
|
Static electricity is the result of an imbalance between negative and positive charges in an object.
|
An electric current is said to exist when there is a net flow of electric charge through a region.
|
Do the negative charges move?
|
When two materials are in contact, electrons may move from one material to the other, which leaves an excess of positive charge on one material and an equal negative charge on the other.
|
The electrons that carry the negative charges are free to move. The current in an electric circuit is caused by the movement of the charges through the conductors of the circuit.
